July 30 is celebrated as World Day Against Human Trafficking to create awareness against human trafficking and protect the rights of victims. The theme of the World Day Against Human Trafficking is ‘Committed to the Cause: Working on the Frontline to End Human Trafficking’ by the UNODC (United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime) this year. About 1-third of victims of human trafficking are children.

International Friendship Day was celebrated on 30 July

The United Nations celebrated International Friendship Day on 30 July 2020. The day was announced by the United Nations General Assembly in 2011 with the idea that friendship between people, countries, cultures and individuals can inspire peace efforts and build bridges between communities.
