Delhi Police Head Constable Wireless Operator Syllabus 2020

Computer based exam

Exam Pattern: - Delhi Police Written Examination Scheme is given below:

  • Shall the question paper will be objective type.
  • AIt will consist of a composite paper with 100 questions.
  • Each question will carry 01 mark. The paper will be of total 100 marks.
  • Question Paper will be based on General Knowledge (20 Marks), General Science (25 Marks), Mathematics (25 Marks), Reasoning (20 Marks) and Computer Fundamental, MS Excel, MS Word, Communication, Internet, www and web browsers. Etc. (10 digits).
  • ½ written examination will be of one and a half hours (1 () (90 minutes) duration.
  • E paper will be bilingual ie English and Hindi.

Physical Standards

Male candidatesHeight170 cms, relaxable by 5 cms for:-
1. Residents of hill areas i.e. Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to states of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunanchal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir and Leh & Ladakh regions of J&K (Candidates claiming this relaxation would have to produce a certificate to this effect (Hill area certificate) from the competent authority i.e. DC/DM/SDM or Tehsildar of their place of residence at the time of Physical Measurement Test).
2. Sons of either serving, retired or deceased Delhi Police personnel/Multi-Tasking Staff (Formerly Group ‘D’ employees) of Delhi Police.
Male candidatesChest81 cms to 85 cms (With Maximum 4 cms Expansion), relaxable by 5 cms for:-
1. Residents of hill areas for which certificate as above (Hill area certificate) will be produced.
2. Sons of either serving, retired or deceased Delhi Police personnel/Multi-Tasking Staff of Delhi Police.

1. Trade Test

Five (05) times the number of vacancies in each category i.e. General/ OBC/ SC/ ST & Ex-Servicemen in their respective category both for departmental candidates and open market category, in order of merit, will qualify for the trade test.

  • The trade test shall be compulsory for candidates to be eligible for appearing in the typing test.
  • This test will be taken in the form of reading and dictation.
  • The dictation, both in Hindi and English languages, will be given to the candidates in groups.
  • The reading test will require each candidate to read a passage from the given text both in Hindi and English.
