Online applications have been invited from eligible students for admission in class XI against the vacant seats to be available in JNV during the academic year 2021. Admission will be given by CBSE / State Education / Others based on the performance of the students in the Class X board examination. Accredited Board.
About JNVS:
The admission of students will be made against the vacancies available in Class-XI on the basis of marks secured by the students in the Class-X Board Examination during the academic session 2021-22.
Eligibility :
- The date of birth of the candidate is between 1 June 2002 to 31 May 2006 (both days inclusive). This applies to all categories of candidates, including those from Scheduled Castes and v ü Scheduled Tribes.
- The candidate should have passed class X from a recognized school (affiliated to CBSE or any other state education / other recognized board) where Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is located during the academic session 2021-22.
Age Limit:
Minimum Age: 14 Year
Maximum Age: 18 Year
Education Qualification:
- Candidate must have Xth Class Passout with good Marks recognized CBSE Board & Other Board where JNV Admission Session Started.
- Good quality modern education mainly for gifted children from rural areas.
- Co-educational and fully residential, up to class-XII.
- Location - Usually in rural areas.
- Free education including boarding and lodging as well as expenses on uniforms, text books and stationery etc.
- Affiliated with CBSE.
- Admission to class-6 only through objective type tests designed and conducted in the concerned district.
- Implementation of a three-language formula.
- The medium of instruction in JNV is mother tongue or regional language till the eighth grade followed by English for Maths and Science and Hindi / English for Social Science. JNV students appear in the CBSE board exams.
- 30% of the students in class-IX from a school located in the Hindi speaking area spend an academic year in a school in the non-Hindi speaking area and vice versa promoting national integration through an understanding of the diversity and plurality of the country’s culture and people. Give.

Candidates can fill the online application form directly on NVS website www.navodaya.gov.in from - 2021, while education in schools is free including boarding, lodging, uniforms and textbooks, from students who fill one A nominal fee is collected. As per NVS Policy only from Class IX to XII. However, SC / ST, girls and families whose income is below the poverty line (BPL) are exempted from payment of fees. Selection of students:
- District wise merit list will be prepared and students will be selected against vacancies.
- After selecting the students against the vacancies in the JNV of the district, a general merit list will be prepared at the state level. After step a, vacancies exist in any JNV of the same state, considering the option used by the candidate, to be filled from the state level merit list.
- After selection of stage A) and B), if the selected candidate does not join even after all attempts, the vacant seats will be filled only from the state level merit list.
